Praising God Today!

Greetings Everyone!
We have great news! Judah had an echo at the cardiologist today and by the grace of our LORD... his HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) has not progressed and so the doctor took him off of his BETA blockers! We are so thankful!! We will be following up with the doctor in 6 months to do another echo and to make sure that his heart is still doing well. In the meantime... I will be feeding him lots of great healthy fruits and veggies to keep him well and I will be giving him lots of great fish oil for heart health!! Please keep Judah in prayer that the Lord will bring his heart to complete healing. We are trusting the Lord for this special little guy! Thank you!

~Family Pictures~

A few random pictures...

Smythe and Strang Parents

Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (Deut. 5:16)

The Smythe Family

L to R: Evan, Elanee, Mr. Smythe, Mrs. Smythe, Yvonne, & Ian.

The Strang Family
L to R: Jordan, Judah, Daddy, Eden, Mommy, Shiloh, & Bethany.

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

~The Coast~

The Lord blessed our family with another opportunity to fellowship with the Smythe Family last week. They took our family to a lovely area called "Cape Look Out" at the Coast. On the way there we also stopped by Tillamook and had some yummy ice cream! We hope you enjoy the pictures!

The cheese factory was amazing!!

Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? (Job 10:10).

Here's Judah and I with something I would love to have on our farm!!

The Beach!

Our Darling Little De-De :)

The flowers appear on the earth... (Sgs 2:12a).
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. (Ps. 19:1).

Can you see Daddy with Jordan and Judah walking by the water?

He leadeth me beside the still waters. (Ps. 23:2a.)

Wether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31).

We roasted apples over the fire...
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. (Prov. 25:11).

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
(Jer. 32:17).

Later everyone went to see the Milky Way Galaxy. Our Creator surely is a marvelous creator! I think it would have been amazing to be with Abraham when the Lord God told him that his descendants would be as the sands of the sea and as the stars of the sky!
Ian Smythe was able to get some really good pictures with his camera which can be viewed here.
Also, today our family watched a documentary together called God of Wonders. It covered everything from the Solar System, the Human Cell, and Plant Life. It truly showed how wonderful our Creator is! You can order it at this link.
Thank you Smythe Family for having us and Praise the Lord for His wondrous works!

Another September Birthday!

Hello Everyone! Today is Jordan William's 14th Birthday!!!

To give you all a little glimpse into our lives here's what we did...
Yesterday, we ladies went to the Farm Store and bought Jordan some new overalls! Now all our men can match in their farm overalls! Also, since Jordan wasn't there to try the new size of overalls... one of his ever loving sisters tried them for him... and they fit! :D

I really liked how this picture worked out that I took. Don't you?

Yes, the overalls were Carhartt! Our favorite!

Here's Jordan trying them on...

And Judah needed his on too... ("The Bu-Bu way").

Don't they look great together?

Today, we took Jordan to the bookstore to find a special Joshua Bell CD...

-Jordan William-

Then we went to the Health Food Store for dinner!

All of us Siblings eating... Yum!

And then... well we decided to have some good ol' birthday fun well Mommy picked up a few items. How does trying on different hats sound? Yes, it was fun! :)

Bethany, De-De, and Jordan

And then we went home... I love De-De's hair in this picture and after I took it I noticed Jordan is the background... Yes, he does have a rather goofy side. :)

Celebrating Rosh Hashana!

Last night life was pretty close to normal (but of course "normal" in our house is "abnormal"...). Suddenly we got a call from the Knifongs, reminding us that it was Rosh Hashana. So we ate up a quick dinner and rushed over to their house for an evening (or rather a nighttime) of Jewish festivities! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
Thank you for having us over at the spur of the moment Knifong family!
Oh... one more thing... I was totally in favour of staying up till 11:59 pm and doing a countdown until the Jewish New Year, but unfortunately everyone wanted their beauty sleep!

I just had to dress up as "Yenta" from "Fiddler On The Roof"!

Shiloh and Judah.

A kind of blurry picture of the campfire!
Here I'm tuning up for some Klezmer fiddle music! Thank you Jamie Lyn for being me "Portable Music Stand"!
Shiloh plays a Jewish piece that Marty Geotz plays.

Jamie Lyn gets her violin and we play together!
Everyone (or the majority) at the campfire.
"Eden... is there some sort of explanation behind this picture?"
Ahhh! How cute (or crazy)!

Shiloh takes a turn on my violin, while I do the double task of accompanying and talking to Jamie Lyn.
More of the same:
A nice affect to this picture! Oh... and of course Eden wants me to say she took this picture!
And a little clip of some of the music!

An Evening of Music from Ebenezer Forest Farm on Vimeo.

Just one more thing...
Mommy will be posting soon on the history, significance, etc. etc. etc. of this Holiday. So stay tuned for that!
Also, who's going to volunteer to stay up with me (till 12:00 am) on the next Jewish New Year?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Anyone?
